We spent six years working in luxury retail selling designer clothing at Barneys New York and Saks 5th Ave. We saw the power over people that designer clothes and bags have and watched people break their finances to attain a lifestyle that they could not afford. The envy and esteem of others is not to be underestimated nor is the confidence boosting power of wearing a recognizable luxury name brand. Owning fine artwork can serve the same purpose especially now with the prevalence of social media platforms like Instagram. Our goal is to help middle class people learn to safely invest in high quality, high value art in a financially sustainable way.

About Us

Angeline Montague (She/Her)- Curator & Director

Librarian / Artist / Artist Consultant

Has a Bachelor of Arts from College of Charleston in Art History and Arts Management | Masters of Library and Information Science from University of Washington

Angeline provides early career and small art business mentorship for multiple visual artists. A visual artist in her own right with a passion for adult visual arts education and teaching. She is also the author of much of the written content on this website.

Angeline is an artist herself but not professionally, she loves contemporary fine art, and the wonder of owning something that a talented human created. Angeline has made art for years but because of the large scale and personal quality of her work, she could not bring herself to consider selling the work. The journey of becoming a collector has given her the confidence to consider one-day showing and potentially selling her work. Being surrounded by art created by others has impressed upon her the power of possibility.

The Montague Family

A family of matriarchs with a passion for the visual arts. Who are focused on establishing a self-funded Contemporary Art Museum as there shared family legacy.
