We were huge fans of Helena’s work for a few years before we got up the courage to ask for a commissioned work via the contact form on her website. Helena was one of the artist we were very intimidated to approach. For years we though about how a work by Helena would look, subject, colors, hair, frame…but the drawing was more beautiful than we could have dreamt. The final commission was for two artworks: the drawing above and also a custom delft painted frame. Helena Hauss is a wonderful artist, a consummate professional, and excellent business woman. It really was pleasure to work with an artist who had a legally executed contract, payment schedule, commission process, and good communication throughout the whole process, which started July 2021 - Summer 2023.
