We were looking at the artists we follow on Artsy.net, saw this piece available at GALLERY MoMo … So with a pounding heart after dreaming about it and one other piece by Naomi Okubo (that we thought, we loved more than this) ; / night after night for two weeks. We used the contact gallery form on artsy for inquire about this work and the other that we wanted. The one we wanted the most sold, but this one was still available. The heart wants wants what it wants and our’s is no exception. We asked about a commission for a similar work to the one we had missed and, got a yes. Continued to think about the work above, and it grew on us. So, we stopped dreaming about it, and bought before someone else did. Fantastic artists like Naomi tempt us in to living beyond our means which is why after getting this one we planned to move ahead with a commission. We got the work and were so astounded by the beauty of it that it felt enough! This is one of those pieces of work which defy photo and reproduction.
